Mirror Lake
Jinghu appears as a compact shape of water in the heart of the old town, framed by streets on every side, and gives the poster a natural focal point.

Wuhu lies on the lower Yangtze in southern Anhui, at a point where the great river runs roughly northeast toward Nanjing. The old city grew at the mouth of the Qingyi River, and the two waterways still frame the centre: the broad Yangtze to the west, the narrower Qingyi threading through the streets before it meets the main channel.
In the middle of the city sits Jinghu, or Mirror Lake, a small body of water surrounded by a park and pedestrian streets, and a familiar reference point for residents. Wuhu was long counted among China's great rice markets and river ports, and today it is also known as the home of the car maker Chery, whose plants occupy a large area of the city.
Several bridges now cross the Yangtze here, drawing long straight lines over the water toward the opposite bank, where the city has expanded in recent years. A Wuhu map poster sets these crossings, the lake and the curve of the Qingyi against the wide river, giving a clear picture of a city organised around water.

Qingyi River mouth
The Qingyi winds through the centre before joining the Yangtze, and the old waterfront districts cluster along this short final stretch of the smaller river.
Yangtze crossings
Road and rail bridges span the wide river, their straight decks cutting across the water and linking the historic core with newer districts on the far bank.

Cur Wuhu
Tabula quae aliquid significat
Wuhu is often a home city rather than a destination, the place people left for Shanghai or Hefei and still talk about. A map of its lake and rivers is an understated way to mark that origin on a wall.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a name or a date, adjust the coordinates line, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The HD digital files come in six print sizes for $9.
