Yangtze band
The river is wide enough here to form a large, solid shape across the poster, the dominant element that anchors the whole composition.

Zhutuo Map Poster & Print
Zhutuo is a town in the Yongchuan district of Chongqing, on the Yangtze River in the hilly country west of the main city. Its riverside position made it a stopping point for boats travelling between Chongqing and the towns upstream in Sichuan. The oldest part of town still sits close to the water, with lanes and steps leading down to the bank.
On the map the river dominates. The Yangtze crosses the frame as a broad band, the old town forms a small, dense cluster on its bank, and newer streets spread inland along the roads toward Yongchuan. Behind the town the ground rises into terraced slopes and small valleys, dotted with the ponds and field paths typical of this part of Chongqing.
A Zhutuo map poster draws its strength from the great river. The width of the Yangtze gives the print a bold horizontal element, the older lanes add texture, and the hill country fills the edges with fine detail. It suits people with family ties to the town and anyone who has travelled along this stretch of the river.

Old riverside lanes
The oldest streets cluster near the bank, with lanes and steps running down to the water, a dense pattern from the days of river trade.
Terraced hills
Behind the town, terraced slopes, ponds and winding paths make a finely detailed landscape that contrasts with the plain surface of the river.

Cur Zhutuo
Tabula quae aliquid significat
Zhutuo means home to families from Yongchuan and a memorable stop for anyone who knows the upper Yangtze. A map of the town and its river is a quiet, personal way to keep that stretch of water close.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be changed to show a family name, a year or a dedication. Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand each treat the river differently, and the HD files cost $9.
