Geidam Map Poster & Print
Geidam is in the far north of Yobe State in Nigeria, where the landscape turns toward the Sahel and the border with Niger is not far away. The town sits near the Komadugu Yobe, the river that gives the state its name and flows east toward Lake Chad. On the map it appears as a dense cluster of lanes and compounds surrounded by open, lightly marked land.
Water sets the shape of the region. The Komadugu Yobe's channels spread out and shift with the seasons, leaving floodplain fields and dry beds in the landscape. Roads leave Geidam in a few clear directions, joining it to other towns in the state and forming simple, strong lines across the plain.
A Geidam map poster is a study in density against space. The irregular street pattern of the town contrasts sharply with the sparse surroundings, and the river's braided course adds a delicate line to the composition. In black and white it becomes a spare, graphic image of a settlement shaped by a dry climate and a vital river.

Compact town core
Narrow lanes and closely spaced compounds make a tight, textured centre that looks almost woven when printed at poster scale.
Radiating roads
A few main roads leave the town across the open plain, giving the composition a clear structure and a sense of connection to the wider region.
