The Chikusa River
The river runs through the valley and gives the town its orientation. Streets, fields and the railway all line up alongside it, and its channel is the longest continuous line on the map.

D'Kaart
From above, Kamigōri is a town shaped by its valley. The Chikusa River runs through it, and the built-up area follows the flat land beside the water, closely hemmed in by wooded slopes. On the map, the dense streets along the valley floor give way quickly to blank, contour-heavy hills, and the edge between settled ground and forest is unusually clear.
The town lies in Hyōgo Prefecture, inland from the Harima coast, and works as a small junction. Kamigōri Station is where the JR Sanyō Main Line meets the Chizu Express, a line that climbs north through the mountains toward Tottori. Seen in black and white, those rail alignments are among the strongest lines on the page, cutting straight paths where the roads have to bend with the terrain.
The hills around the town also hold something unexpected. Harima Science Garden City, a planned research district that includes the SPring-8 synchrotron facility, lies partly within Kamigōri's boundaries. A Kamigōri map poster places the old valley settlement and that ordered hilltop district on the same sheet, two very different ways of laying out ground within a short distance of each other.
The river runs through the valley and gives the town its orientation. Streets, fields and the railway all line up alongside it, and its channel is the longest continuous line on the map.
Kamigōri Station joins the JR Sanyō Main Line with the Chizu Express. On the poster the two lines meet and part, one following the valley and the other heading north into the hills.
Forested slopes close in around the settled valley floor. In a minimalist print they read as broad, quiet areas that frame the compact grid of houses and roads in the middle.

Firwat Kamigōri
Kamigōri suits people who know it in a particular way: those who grew up in the valley, commuted along the Sanyō line, or spent years working at the research facilities on the hill. The map reads as a single, legible place, a river, a station and the hills that hold them.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, so the print can carry a family name, a move-in date or a year spent at the lab. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order the digital files or a printed poster.
