Plateau setting
The city spreads across a highland tableland, so its streets stay evenly spaced over long distances before meeting the hills and rural roads at the edge.

Vitória da Conquista Map Poster & Print
Vitória da Conquista sits on a high plateau in southwestern Bahia, well above the coastal lowlands, and that height gives it a cooler climate than most of the state. From above, the city is a broad, fairly even spread of neighbourhoods reaching across the tableland. Low hills, including the Serra do Periperi to the north, break up the edges.
Its main road connections, including the BR-116 highway that crosses the interior of Brazil, cut long straight lines through the urban area. Neighbourhood grids meet them at slightly different angles, so the map reads as a set of patchwork districts stitched together by a few strong avenues rather than one single grid.
It is one of the largest cities in Bahia and a commercial and university centre for the southwest of the state and nearby northern Minas Gerais. A Vitória da Conquista map poster shows a plateau city in full: a dense middle, long arterial roads and ridges that hold the edges in place.

Serra do Periperi
The ridge to the north of the city breaks the street pattern and is now a protected green area, showing up as a clear gap in the urban fabric.
Highway corridor
The BR-116 runs through the urban area as a long straight line, one of the main axes the rest of the map is organised around.
