Chhāpar is a town in the Churu district of Rajasthan, on the eastern edge of the Thar Desert. The land is flat, sandy and wide open. On a map, the town is a dense cluster of narrow lanes and house blocks around its centre, with roads leading out across the plain to neighbouring towns and villages.
