Löbtau Map Poster & Print
Löbtau is a district in western Dresden, a short distance from the historic centre. It developed mainly in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, when rows of multi-storey apartment buildings were built along regular streets. On a map, this era shows as a network of fairly rectangular blocks, many with courtyards inside.
The Weißeritz, a tributary of the Elbe, runs along the district and was redirected into a new channel in the nineteenth century. Its straight, managed course forms one of Löbtau's clearest boundaries. Main roads and tram lines cross the district toward the city centre, and small squares and green spaces break up the blocks.
A Löbtau map poster shows a classic German urban neighbourhood: dense, orderly and residential, with a river channel and transport lines providing structure. In black and white, the repeating blocks and courtyards create an even, measured texture across the print.

Löbtau is home to many students, families and long-time Dresdeners who know it street by street. A poster of the district records the blocks and courtyards they pass every day, not just the famous skyline of the old town.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with an address or a moving-in date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
