Žemėlapis
Coquimbo covers a hilly peninsula on Chile's north-central coast, where the land hooks west into the Pacific and shelters a deep bay. On a map the streets look compressed and irregular. They climb the steep cerros in short zigzags and dead ends rather than a clean grid. To the north the shore straightens into a long sandy arc that runs to La Serena, and the two cities now form one urban area.
The harbour faces the bay on the sheltered side of the peninsula. The port and fishing wharves sit below the older quarter known as Barrio Inglés, named for the British merchants who traded here in the nineteenth century. On the far side of the peninsula lie the smaller bays of Guayacán and La Herradura, with tighter curves and calmer water. A Coquimbo map poster shows how the sea shapes the city on more than one side.
The landmark most visitors know is the Cruz del Tercer Milenio, a large cross built at the turn of the millennium on Cerro El Vigía, above the bay. Inland, the Elqui Valley runs east toward the Andes and is known for pisco and clear night skies. In black and white the city becomes a study of relief: dense and folded on the hills, open and smooth along the sand.
A rocky headland hooks west into the Pacific and holds most of the old city. It creates a sheltered bay on one side and the smaller bays of Guayacán and La Herradura on the other.
A long, even stretch of sand curves north from Coquimbo to La Serena. It is one of the smoothest lines on the map and joins the two cities along the coast.
The streets climb the cerros in short, broken segments that follow the slope. This makes a dense, irregular pattern that stands out clearly against the open water of the bay.

Kodėl Coquimbo
Coquimbo means something specific to the people who know it: the harbour, the climb up the hills, the view of the bay from the cross. A map keeps all of that in one frame. It suits a flat near the sea or a home far from Chile.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are yours to edit, so you can add a date, a name or a line of your own. The poster comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand works well with the coastline, and Noir brings out the hills.
