Old town core
At the centre, short and irregular lanes pack closely together. On the poster they form the most detailed part of the map and mark the town's historic heart.

Samāna Map Poster & Print
Samāna is a town in Patiala district in Indian Punjab, on the broad and almost perfectly level plains that make the state one of India's main farming regions. From above, the town has a dense, irregular core, and the land around it is divided into large rectangular fields by straight roads and water channels.
Many Punjab towns grew as market centres for surrounding villages, and Samāna follows that pattern. Roads from neighbouring settlements lead into the centre, and older lanes wind between closely built houses and shops. Newer housing has filled in along the main routes and towards the edges.
A Samāna map poster captures that contrast between an intricate old centre and an ordered agricultural landscape. The core prints as a dense cluster of short, crooked streets, and the fields beyond form a calm, geometric pattern of long lines. It is a simple, well-balanced image of a Punjabi town and its land.

Straight farm roads

Roads from nearby towns
Several main roads approach Samāna from different directions and meet near the centre. They tie the town to the surrounding district and give the map a clear structure.
