Dense town core
The oldest part of Sanaur is a close grid of lanes and small plots, so dense on the map that it reads almost as one dark, textured shape.

Sanaur Map Poster & Print
Sanaur sits on the flat alluvial plain of Punjab, a few kilometres from the city of Patiala. From above, the town shows as a dense core of narrow lanes and tightly packed plots. Roads lead out from it across a landscape divided into regular agricultural fields, and the edge of the built-up area tends to follow those roads rather than form a neat boundary.
The surrounding plain is almost completely level, so the map has no hills or valleys to shape it. What gives it character is the contrast between the irregular old street pattern at the centre and the straight field boundaries and irrigation lines beyond. Newer housing has grown along the main routes, stretching the town gradually towards Patiala and the neighbouring villages.
A Sanaur map poster keeps that contrast in plain black and white. The thick knot of lanes reads almost as a solid shape, while the lines running out to Patiala and the villages give it direction. The result is a quiet, graphic picture of a Punjab market town and the farmland it has always depended on.

Road to Patiala
A main road links Sanaur with nearby Patiala, and building along it shows how closely the town is tied to its larger neighbour.
Field geometry
Beyond the built-up edge, the Punjab plain breaks into straight-sided fields and channels, a regular pattern that frames the town on every side.
