Hudson Map Poster & Print
Hudson was founded in 1799 by David Hudson, a settler from Connecticut, in the Western Reserve of northeast Ohio. Its founders brought the New England town plan with them, and the map still shows it. Streets gather around a central village green, with the historic main street running along one side and quieter roads branching off into the town.
The clock tower on the green is Hudson's best-known landmark. Western Reserve Academy, a private school founded in the nineteenth century, sits near the centre with its own campus of brick buildings and lawns. Beyond the historic core the town spreads out in wooded subdivisions with curving drives, crossed by country roads that are older than the suburbs.
A Hudson map poster sets the square, orderly heart of the old village against the looser, curving streets that grew up around it later. In Paper or Sand the effect is especially fitting: the green at the centre, the academy grounds nearby, and wooded lanes all around.

Academy campus
Western Reserve Academy's grounds, with lawns, paths and brick buildings, form a distinct open block near the historic centre.
Wooded suburbs
Outside the core, residential drives curve through woodland and meet the straight lines of older country roads, giving the outer map a softer texture.

Hudson suits people who grew up around the green, graduated from the academy or simply love a well-kept historic town. The poster shows its unusual plan clearly and without decoration.
Set a title and subtitle, perhaps a family name or a graduation year, add a date and keep the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
