Lakes everywhere
Lakes and ponds of irregular shape are spread across the municipality. Their smooth outlines make large open forms on the poster and set the rhythm of the whole map.

Janakkala Map Poster & Print
Janakkala is a municipality in Kanta-Häme in southern Finland, just south of Hämeenlinna. It is not a single town but a rural area with several centres, the largest being Turenki. On a map it reads as scattered clusters of streets connected by roads through forest and farmland, with lakes of all sizes pressed into the landscape.
The main north–south routes between Helsinki and Hämeenlinna pass through the area, bringing highway and railway lines that cut long straight strokes across an otherwise organic pattern. The Tervakoski locality is known internationally for its paper mill, which has a long history of making security and banknote paper.
A Janakkala map poster captures that Finnish mix of water, woodland and small settlements. Because the land is so varied, the design shows a lot of contrast, with dense patches of streets next to wide areas of lake and forest that the black-and-white styles present with great clarity.

A map of Janakkala suits anyone who knows the quiet of Häme: a summer cottage by a lake, a childhood in Turenki or a working life at the Tervakoski mill. It looks calm and considered on the wall, like the landscape it shows.
