Murayama Map Poster & Print
Murayama sits in the basin of the same name in central Yamagata Prefecture, and its map is shaped by open farmland more than dense streets. The Mogami River, one of the major rivers of northern Japan, curves along the western side of the city, while mountains rise to the east. Between them lies a patchwork of paddies and villages connected by long, straight rural roads.
The urban centre gathers around the railway, where the Yamagata Shinkansen stops at Murayama Station. Here the street pattern tightens into a small grid of shops and houses, then quickly relaxes into scattered settlements along the roads that radiate across the valley floor. Irrigation channels and field boundaries add a fine, regular texture to the areas in between.
The city is known regionally for its soba and for a large rose garden that draws visitors in early summer. A Murayama map poster brings out the contrast between the compact station district, the sweep of the Mogami and the orderly field lines around them, a calm composition that reflects the rhythm of rural Tohoku.

Murayama is a place tied to seasons, soba shops and family land, and a map of it holds those associations quietly. It suits someone who grew up in the basin and now lives in Tokyo or Sendai, or a family marking an ancestral home.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or a date, then pick Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper gives the field patterns a soft, printed-atlas feel.
