Olpe Map Poster & Print
Olpe is the seat of its district in the southern Sauerland, a hilly and heavily forested part of North Rhine-Westphalia. The town grew where the Bigge and its side valleys meet, and on the map the streets follow those valleys. The result is an irregular, star-like shape, with roads curving to fit the slopes.
The most striking feature is water. Just to the north lies the Biggesee, one of the region's largest reservoirs, whose branching shoreline winds between the hills.
