Xianlong Map Poster & Print
Xianlong lies within the municipality of Chongqing, in the rolling hill country of the eastern Sichuan Basin. In this landscape, flat land is scarce. Roads follow valleys and ridgelines, and settlements fit into the spaces the hills leave open. From above, the town looks irregular, with streets curving to follow the terrain.
The land around the town is shaped by terraced and contoured farming. Fields follow the natural slope of the ground, and small ponds and reservoirs are scattered between them. Newer roads cut straighter lines across the landscape, but the older pattern of winding lanes still shows how people have long worked with the topography.
A Xianlong map poster gives an honest picture of a place defined by its terrain. The softly curving roads and the lack of a rigid grid make it quite different from maps of plains cities. It is a fitting choice for anyone with family in the Chongqing region or who remembers its green, folded hills.

Contoured fields
Farmland around the settlement follows the shape of the hills, forming layered, curving patterns typical of the Sichuan Basin.
Scattered water
Small ponds and reservoirs dot the countryside between the fields, appearing as small, irregular shapes around the town.
