The main square sits at the heart of the grid, and the surrounding blocks line up with it, giving the centre of town a clear and stable structure.

Ario de Rosales sits in the uplands of Michoacán, in rolling country between the central plateau and the lower land to the south. The town follows the pattern of many Mexican towns founded in the colonial era. A central square sets the orientation, and blocks extend outward from it. Toward the edges the grid bends and breaks as it meets slopes, ravines and farmland.
The town has a place in Mexican history. In 1815, during the War of Independence, it hosted the installation of the Supreme Tribunal of Justice for Mexican America, an early judicial body of the insurgent movement. The second part of the name honours Víctor Rosales, an insurgent officer. That history sits quietly within the modest, orderly street plan.
An Ario de Rosales map poster captures the meeting of planned streets and uneven ground. The central blocks read as a firm, regular pattern, while the outlying roads wander to follow the terrain. The result is a composition with a strong centre and loose edges, which translates well to minimalist line work and to any of the five poster styles.

Hillside edges
At the outskirts, streets bend and fragment where the ground rises or drops, so the tidy grid gradually gives way to irregular lanes and rural roads.
Highland setting
Roads leave town toward neighbouring communities across the Michoacán uplands, drawing thin lines through open land that frame the compact urban area.
