Wide, straight streets cross at right angles through the centre, a planned layout that reads cleanly in black and white and gives the map a calm, orderly core.

Armavir Map Poster & Print
Armavir sits in the middle of the Ararat plain in western Armenia, the country's most fertile lowland, not far from the border with Turkey. The town was largely laid out in the Soviet period, and from above it shows long straight avenues, rectangular blocks and generous open spaces. Around it the land is flat and heavily cultivated, divided by canals and farm roads into narrow strips of orchards, vineyards and fields.
The name is ancient, even if the town under it is not. In the Soviet era it was called Hoktemberyan, before taking the name of the old Armenian capital of Armavir, whose site lies nearby. Close to town is the Sardarabad memorial, which marks the 1918 battle remembered as one of the defining moments of modern Armenian history.
An Armavir map poster works for anyone connected to the province, from families who farm the plain to those in the diaspora tracing a village of origin. The clear grid gives the print a strong structure, and the view toward Mount Ararat is part of how people here picture home, even though the mountain itself lies well beyond the frame.

Irrigated plain
Canals and farm tracks divide the surrounding land into long parallel plots, a fine linear texture that fills the edges of the poster with quiet rhythm.
Sardarabad memorial
Southwest of town, the memorial complex marking the 1918 battle appears as a formal landscaped site with paths and approaches, a landmark worth including in a wider frame.
