Ciudad de Allende, usually just called Allende, is a town in the Mexican state of Nuevo León, south-east of Monterrey on the old Carretera Nacional, Federal Highway 85. The Sierra Madre Oriental rises to the west, and the town lies on lower ground where the mountains give way to the plain.
