Las Gabias is a municipality just southwest of Granada in Andalusia, and its map reads less like a single town than a set of neighbouring villages that have grown towards each other. Older cores with short, irregular lanes sit apart from one another, while newer residential streets fill the land between them, forming the town's present outline.

Around them, later housing forms looser grids and cul-de-sacs, and roads run out towards Granada and the surrounding villages.
