Mapa
Makó is in southeastern Hungary, near the Maros River and close to the Romanian border, on the flat Great Hungarian Plain. From above, the town has a clear centre with streets running out in several directions. The river makes a curving edge to the south, and farmland in long strips surrounds everything.
Makó is famous for its onions, which have been grown here for generations and are known throughout Hungary. The town is also home to the Hagymatikum spa, designed in the organic style of architect Imre Makovecz, and it is the birthplace of Joseph Pulitzer, the journalist and publisher after whom the prizes are named.
A Makó map poster shows a classic plain town. A dense core sits at the centre, long radial streets reach towards the fields, and the Maros adds a soft curve at the edge. The long field strips outside create a quiet texture that mirrors the town's agricultural identity.
Main streets spread from the town centre towards the surrounding villages and fields. They give the plan a star-like structure that is easy to read.
The river curves along the southern side of town and supplies the one natural boundary. On paper it appears as a smooth band against the plain.
Long, narrow field strips surround the town. They show the farming that made Makó's onions famous across Hungary.

Dlaczego Makó
Makó appeals to people from Csongrád, spa visitors, admirers of Makovecz's architecture and those who remember Pulitzer's origins. The town's radial layout gives the poster a strong, balanced form.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates with a family name, a date or the Hungarian spelling. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper matches the soft tones of the plain.
