Plateau setting
The town sits on the Asir highlands, and its road network spreads across the elevated ground in uneven clusters rather than a single dense core.

Mapa
Sarāt ‘Abīdah Map Poster & Print
Sarāt ‘Abīdah lies in the highlands of the Asir Region in southwestern Saudi Arabia, an area where the land rises well above the Red Sea coast and the air is cooler than in much of the country. On a map, the town is defined less by a grid than by the ground it occupies.
Roads run along the easier gradients, and built-up areas collect where the terrain allows, leaving open stretches where slopes steepen or seasonal watercourses pass through. The result is an irregular footprint, with clusters of streets joined by longer connecting roads that head out across the plateau toward neighbouring settlements.
A Sarāt ‘Abīdah map poster captures this highland arrangement in plain lines. Without colour or relief shading, the roads themselves describe the landscape: where they gather, where they stretch thin, and where they bend to avoid the hills. It is a quiet portrait of a mountain town in one of the Arabian Peninsula's most distinctive regions.

Connecting roads
Longer routes lead outward from the built-up areas across open country, linking the town to surrounding villages and giving the map a set of strong radiating lines.
Shaped by terrain
Gaps in the street pattern mark slopes and watercourses, so the empty spaces on the poster are as telling as the roads that surround them.
