Bade is a district of Taoyuan in northern Taiwan, on the east bank of the Dahan River. On a map, the river is the main natural feature along its edge, with a broad bed and gravel banks. On the other side, the district spreads over the Taoyuan tableland in a mix of dense streets, industrial plots and open land.
The Taoyuan area is known for its many irrigation ponds, built over centuries to store water on this relatively dry plateau.
