Linear settlement
Houses and shops line the main roads, so the built-up area stretches out along routes rather than forming a compact block, a common pattern in the region.

Bandar Map Poster & Print
Bandar lies in the lowlands of North Sumatra, on the eastern side of the island where the land slopes gently toward the Strait of Malacca. Its map is defined less by a dense centre than by the long roads that link scattered neighbourhoods and villages across mostly flat ground.
The surrounding area is agricultural, and plantations cover much of the landscape, their straight access roads and field boundaries forming a regular pattern that extends well beyond the built-up area. Rivers flowing from the interior toward the coast wind through this grid, adding curved lines to an otherwise geometric view.
A Bandar map poster reflects the character of the Sumatran lowlands: open, orderly and threaded with water. It is a simple, honest portrait of a place that matters mostly to the people who live there, and that is exactly why it is worth drawing well.

Plantation geometry
Straight estate roads and rectangular plots surround the town, giving the wider map a regular, almost ruled appearance across the flat land.
Lowland rivers
Rivers meander across the plain toward the eastern coast, their curving courses standing out against the straight lines of roads and fields.

Families from the Sumatran lowlands often scatter to Medan, Jakarta or Malaysia for work, and a map of the home district keeps that connection close. Bandar's roads and rivers make a clear, understated poster for a family room or office.
