There is no dense old grid at the centre; the town grew mostly as a suburb, and its map reflects that. Bartlett is a city in Shelby County, Tennessee, on the northeastern edge of the Memphis area. It began as a small railroad community and grew rapidly in the late twentieth century as Memphis expanded. Today it is one of the larger suburbs in the region, largely residential, with parks and schools spread across the city.
