Bentonville sits in the northwest corner of Arkansas, on the rolling edge of the Ozark Plateau. Its historic core is a classic courthouse square with a compact grid of streets around it. Bentonville is best known as the home of Walmart, whose founder Sam Walton opened his five-and-dime on the town square. North of downtown, the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art sits in a wooded ravine around spring-fed ponds.
