Bom Despacho is in the centre-west of Minas Gerais, Brazil, in an area of gently rolling uplands, pasture and cerrado vegetation. The town sits in open country rather than in a narrow valley, so its map shows a compact urban area with plenty of space around it and roads spreading out toward neighbouring towns and farms.
