Chess valley floor
The river and the main streets follow the narrow valley bottom. This gives the town an elongated shape that runs through the centre of the print.

Chesham Map Poster & Print
Chesham lies in the Chiltern Hills of Buckinghamshire, in a narrow valley cut by the River Chess. From above, the town stretches along the valley floor, with the old centre and High Street in the bottom and newer residential streets climbing the slopes on either side. Beech woods and farmland close in around the edges.
The town is known as the northern terminus of the Metropolitan line. Chesham station is the furthest point on the London Underground from central London, reached by a single-track branch through the countryside. On the map, the railway enters from the east and stops short in the valley, a small detail with a good story behind it.
A Chesham map poster shows a classic Chiltern valley town: the river, the long High Street, the terraced slopes and the woodland beyond. It suits people who live here, commuters who ride to the end of the line, and anyone who enjoys walking in the Chilterns.

Metropolitan line terminus
The branch line comes into the valley and ends at Chesham station. On the map, it's a short, clear line that stops in town.
Hillside streets
Residential roads climb the valley sides in curving terraces. They thin out quickly into the woods and fields of the surrounding Chiltern hills.
