Crawfordsville Map Poster & Print
Crawfordsville is the seat of Montgomery County in west-central Indiana. From above it shows the classic Midwestern pattern, a regular grid of streets around the courthouse square, stretching out into farmland. Sugar Creek winds past the town, and its wooded valley adds a curving natural line to an otherwise orderly composition.
The town has strong literary and academic ties. Lew Wallace, the author of Ben-Hur, lived here, and his study is preserved as a museum. Wabash College, one of the few remaining all-men's liberal arts colleges in the United States, has its campus close to downtown, with open lawns among the historic buildings.
A Crawfordsville map poster brings these layers together: the tidy grid, the green block of the campus, the creek and the roads leading off across the Indiana plain. It is a considered choice for alumni and residents who know the town beyond its main street.
