Glostrup lies just west of Copenhagen, part of the continuous suburban belt that spreads out from the Danish capital. It is a small municipality by area, and on the map it looks tightly packed, with residential streets, industrial and office zones, and green spaces all set within a few kilometres.
Strong lines run through it. The S-train line toward Høje-Taastrup crosses the town from east to west, the old main road Hovedvejen runs roughly parallel, and larger motorways and ring roads pass close to its edges. Between them, quiet residential streets form loops, cul-de-sacs and short grids.
