Green Haven is a community in northern Anne Arundel County, Maryland, in the network of peninsulas and tidal creeks that line the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. It is primarily residential. On a map, its streets are a typical mid-century American suburban pattern of curving roads, loops and cul-de-sacs, with many ending at the water's edge.
The shoreline is the defining feature. Creeks cut deep, irregular inlets into the land, so from above the community looks like a series of fingers of land between branches of water. Woodland patches fill the gaps between neighbourhoods, and a few main roads carry traffic toward Baltimore to the north and Annapolis to the south.
