Hadim lies in the southern part of Konya Province, where the high Anatolian plateau meets the Taurus Mountains. It is the centre of a rural district that is mostly mountains, limestone valleys and scattered villages. On a map the town is a small, dense cluster in a large area of rugged terrain.
The streets do not follow a formal plan. They respond to the slopes, running along level ground where they can and bending where they cannot. A few roads leave the town and wind toward the district's villages and toward the Mediterranean side of the mountains to the south.
