Jacobo Hunter Map Poster & Print
Jacobo Hunter is one of the districts that make up metropolitan Arequipa, lying on the south-western side of Peru's second-largest city. On the map it appears as a dense grid of residential streets that continues the urban fabric of its neighbours, with blocks laid out across ground that rises gently away from the centre towards drier, open terrain.
The wider setting is what gives Arequipa its character: a high valley surrounded by volcanic peaks, with El Misti the most familiar of them. Within Jacobo Hunter itself the view is more everyday, a network of neighbourhood streets, main avenues linking to the rest of the city and patches of undeveloped land where the built-up area meets the desert hills.
A Jacobo Hunter map poster is a specific choice, one for residents, former neighbours or anyone who remembers a particular street in this part of Arequipa. In monochrome, the regular blocks and the looser edges where the city fades into dry ground make for a composition that is orderly in the middle and open around the margins.

Links to the centre
Main avenues run from Jacobo Hunter towards central Arequipa and neighbouring districts, drawing stronger lines through the finer mesh of local streets.
Desert margins
At the district's outer edges the street pattern thins and gives way to dry, open land, a reminder of the arid setting of southern Peru.
