Kānt is a town in Shahjahanpur district, in Uttar Pradesh, on the broad alluvial plain of northern India. The land here is almost perfectly flat. It is divided into fields, orchards and village tracts, and the town forms a denser patch where several roads meet.
From above, the centre is a close weave of lanes and small plots. It loosens into larger compounds and farmland toward the edges.
