Karingal lies in the far south of Tamil Nadu, close to the tip of the Indian peninsula, where the land narrows between the Western Ghats and the sea. From above, the town has no strict grid. A handful of main roads meet near its centre, and lanes branch off them irregularly into residential clusters, often lined by the shade of palm plantations and small agricultural plots.
The Karingal map poster captures that loose, organic pattern: streets that bend around water tanks, fields and older property lines rather than following a surveyor's plan. Toward the west the ground falls gently to the coast, and a scatter of neighbouring villages sits along the roads between.
