Khada is a town in Kushinagar district in eastern Uttar Pradesh, near the border with Bihar and not far from Nepal. On a map it forms a compact cluster of streets along the main roads, surrounded by a very flat, fertile plain shaped over time by the Gandak river and its shifting channels.
The landscape beyond the town is agricultural, with fields in small irregular plots, village clusters and narrow roads connecting them.
