Kūrāli is a town in the Mohali district of Punjab, a short distance northwest of Chandigarh. On a map it appears as a compact settlement strung along a main road, with a denser older area of lanes and bazaars and newer residential blocks spreading out on either side.
The town lies on the plains near the foot of the Shivalik hills, which rise to the north and east. Around it the land is mostly agricultural, divided into large fields with tube wells and farm tracks, and the railway and highways that pass through connect Kūrāli with Chandigarh, Ropar and further into Punjab.
