Las Breñas is a town in the southwest of Argentina's Chaco Province, on a wide plain dominated by farming. The land is almost completely flat. The town grew around its railway and follows a regular grid of square blocks that repeats evenly in every direction.
Outside town, the grid continues in the fields. Rural roads meet at right angles and enclose large rectangular plots. A Las Breñas map poster is therefore a study in straight lines, with only the railway breaking the pattern as it cuts across the town at an angle.
