Lumezzane Map Poster & Print
Lumezzane lies in the hills north of Brescia, in Lombardy, in a narrow side valley off Val Trompia. The town is made up of several villages that grew together along the valley floor, so on a map it looks long and thin, with a main road running through it and streets climbing the slopes wherever the ground allows.
Lumezzane is known for metalworking. Its workshops and factories have long produced cutlery, taps, valves and other metal goods, and industrial buildings sit side by side with houses throughout the valley. The steep, wooded slopes above them are mostly empty, which gives the map a strong contrast between the busy valley floor and the quiet hillsides.
A Lumezzane map poster traces that shape clearly. The line of streets bends with the valley, side roads zigzag up the hills, and the empty slopes frame everything. It is a distinctly different map from those of the flat Lombard plain just to the south, and for people from the valley it is instantly recognisable.

Joined villages
Lumezzane grew from several separate villages along the valley. On the map, their old centres are still visible as denser clusters along the main road.
Industrial workshops
Metalworking plants and workshops are woven into the town. Their larger footprints show on the map between the smaller blocks of houses.
