Gulf of Gabès shoreline
The coast runs in a long, gentle line, leaving a wide blank expanse of sea that frames the town and gives the poster a strong, simple edge.

Mahires Map Poster & Print
Mahires sits on the southern Tunisian coast, south of Sfax, where the land meets the Gulf of Gabès along an almost ruler-straight edge. From above, the town is a compact grid of short streets running back from the sea, with the coast road tracing the shoreline and a thinner web of lanes giving way to open agricultural land.
Beyond the built-up area, the map turns into the pattern this region is known for: long, regular plots of olive trees laid out in rows, bounded by tracks that cut across the flat plain. The contrast between the dense town and the measured geometry of the groves gives the drawing a quiet, horizontal rhythm, with the sea as a clean empty field on one side.
Mahires is also known for its international festival of plastic arts, held for decades and drawing artists to the seafront. A Mahires map poster keeps the essentials of that setting: the shoreline, the modest grid of the town and the agricultural land around it, reduced to black lines on white so the proportions of coast and countryside are easy to read.

Olive grove geometry
Inland, field boundaries and farm tracks form a patchwork of long rectangles, the typical pattern of the olive-growing plain around Sfax.
Compact town grid
The centre is a tight cluster of short streets set back from the water, with the coast road acting as a spine between town and sea.
