Marl Map Poster & Print
Marl sits on the northern edge of the Ruhr, and its map shows a town that grew from mining colonies rather than a single old core. Separate districts are linked by wide roads and green corridors, and the centre was built in the postwar decades as a deliberately modern ensemble. To the north, the Wesel–Datteln Canal and the valley of the Lippe draw long horizontal lines.
The town hall, designed by the Dutch architects van den Broek and Bakema, is one of the landmarks of German postwar modernism. Marl is also the home of the Grimme Institute, which awards the Grimme Prize for television. In the south, the extensive Chemiepark Marl forms a dense block of industrial roads and rail sidings.
A Marl map poster brings these pieces together: the planned centre, the former colliery settlements, the canal and the chemical works. It is a fitting portrait of the Ruhr's history of coal, industry and bold modern planning, and a good gift for anyone who grew up here.

Canal and Lippe
Along the northern edge, the Wesel–Datteln Canal and the Lippe run side by side, drawing a straight channel next to a softer river line.
Chemiepark Marl
A large industrial site in the south of the town shows up as a tight network of internal roads and rail sidings, clearly set apart from the neighbourhoods.

Marl is a town that people tend to explain rather than simply name, and a map does the explaining for them. It shows the districts, the canal and the industrial legacy in one straightforward image.
Customise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a district name, and choose a style. Noir and Blueprint suit the industrial character. The HD download includes six sizes, from 30×40 cm to 24×36 inches, with no watermark.
