My Drarga lies on the flat Souss plain a short distance east of Agadir, in southern Morocco. From above, the town appears as a group of low-rise neighbourhoods joined by main roads, with farmland, greenhouses and orchards filling the gaps. On the horizon, the foothills of the Anti-Atlas and High Atlas frame the plain.
The Souss valley is one of Morocco's main farming regions, known for citrus, early vegetables and the argan trees that grow across the wider area. Towns like this one sit in the middle of that farming landscape and are closely tied to it, as well as to the growth of greater Agadir.
