Nunungan is an inland municipality in Lanao del Norte, in Northern Mindanao in the Philippines. It lies in hilly, upland country away from the coast, and on a map the terrain sets the pattern. The surrounding land is mostly rural, with farmland, forest and scattered barangays linked by roads and trails that follow ridges and valleys.
