Oulad Teïma lies on the Souss plain in southwestern Morocco, east of Agadir, between the High Atlas to the north and the Anti-Atlas to the south. From above, the town is a compact area of streets and blocks along the main road, surrounded by one of the country's most productive farming landscapes.
The Souss plain is known for citrus orchards and for large greenhouse farms that grow vegetables for export. On a map these appear as regular rectangular plots, often in tight rows, that give the surrounding countryside a strong geometric pattern.
