Pasān lies in northern Chhattisgarh, an upland area of rolling hills, forest and cultivated clearings. On the map it is a compact settlement around a road junction, with a market street, residential lanes and scattered houses along the approach roads. Past the last buildings, the map shifts quickly to fields and wooded slopes.
