Salatiga Map Poster & Print
Salatiga lies in the highlands of Central Java, on the lower slopes of Mount Merbabu, roughly halfway between Semarang and Surakarta. Its elevation gives it a cooler climate than the coastal plain, which made it a favoured place for Dutch residents in the colonial era. The main road between the two larger cities runs straight through the town.
On a map Salatiga is compact and surrounded by farmland and villages. The streets follow the gently rising ground, and older, more regular blocks near the centre give way to looser patterns at the edges. The town is known for Satya Wacana Christian University and is often cited in Indonesia for its tolerance and diverse communities.
A Salatiga map poster shows a small, clearly bounded town sitting in open, rolling land. The main road cutting through the centre and the network of smaller streets spreading from it make for a balanced, understated print.

Merbabu slopes
The town sits on ground that rises gently toward the mountain, and the streets curve slightly to follow the contours in its outer districts.
Compact centre
Older blocks near the centre, some dating from the colonial period, form a denser, more orderly core surrounded by village roads and fields.
