Staffanstorp lies in western Skåne, on the fertile, almost perfectly flat plain between Lund and Malmö. The landscape is open and agricultural, and from above the town appears as a neat island of streets surrounded by large, rectangular fields. The town grew substantially in the second half of the twentieth century as a residential community for people working in the nearby cities. That history shows in the map.
