Storrs is a village within the town of Mansfield in eastern Connecticut, and it is defined almost entirely by the University of Connecticut. Its main campus takes up most of the settled area. On a map you see academic buildings, residence halls, parking lots and athletic fields in a dense cluster, surrounded by woods and open farmland.
UConn began as an agricultural school, and that origin is still visible.
