Sukrah Map Poster & Print
Sukrah, better known as La Soukra, lies on the northern side of Greater Tunis in the Ariana Governorate. It was long an area of olive groves, orchards and country houses, and much of its map still carries that rural outline: long roads following old field boundaries, with residential estates filling in the land between them rather than a single planned grid.
Its south-western edge meets Tunis-Carthage International Airport, whose runways form the strongest straight lines in the frame. To the north, the land flattens towards the Sebkhet Ariana, a shallow salt lagoon near the coast, so the town sits between a very urban edge and an open, low-lying one.
Today Sukrah is a sought-after residential district, with detached houses, schools and shopping streets alongside remaining patches of green.
