Teluknaga is a district of Tangerang Regency on the northern coast of Java, west of Jakarta. The land is low and flat, and from above it looks like a patchwork. Village roads wind between clusters of houses, and rectangular fishponds and rice fields fill most of the space between them. Toward the sea, the ponds get larger and the settlements thin out.
The Cisadane River reaches the Java Sea within the district, and its lower course winds through the landscape on its way to the coast. Irrigation channels and drainage ditches add many straight lines. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport lies just to the south, so its runways and approach roads sit close to the edge of the map.
A Teluknaga map poster shows a place in transition. It remains mainly rural and coastal, but new roads and housing are spreading north from the airport and the city.
