Timbaúba is a town in the Zona da Mata Norte of Pernambuco, the coastal hinterland long associated with sugarcane. The landscape around it is gently rolling, and fields and small roads cover most of the surrounding land. The town appears on the map as a compact, clearly defined cluster of streets.
